Our Methodology...
Use of electronic teaching aids
Everyone enjoys multimedia and interactivity. We’re fascinated by it; we learn more quickly because of its colour, crystal-clear sound, digital technology and information which is assimilated easily and enjoyably. Here we teach interactively, from a laptop onto a whiteboard, and present our topics using quick broadband internet access.
Experiential teaching
A language is something we experience- not simply memorization of information. At our school, real is transferred to the classroom, and language becomes a living communicative tool.
Developing autonomy
We encourage our students from a very young age to be autonomous learners and to complete their tasks without the help of others.
Selective use of supplementary teaching material
other than student books, from a wide range of sources, eg Internet, audio-visual material, foreign newspapers and magazines, CD-ROMs or literary works, adapted to the needs of the lesson.
Tailor made courses
Our teachers adjust their teaching to the needs and learning profiles of their students.
Working in pairs or groups
which ensures equal participation of all students and also develops a spirit of cooperation.
Encouraging the expression of skills and talents
through thematic activities and projects. Students love being able to create and express themselves freely in a foreign language, because then the language comes to life and acquires meaning.
Developing social awareness in our students
and making them sensitive to contemporary problems with a view to enhancing their understanding of the world and their place in it.
Regular assessment of our work by the students themselves
We encourage our students to think freely, critically and responsibly by asking them to assess our teaching and the services provided by means of answering a questionnaire. We take the results of these assessments into serious consideration in order to make improvements and become even more effective in our work.
Teaching Facilities
Interactive whiteboards
All the classrooms are equipped with a system consisting of an interactive whiteboard, computer, projector, sound-system and software, which transforms the whiteboard into a giant touch screen emanating sound and colour. In this way, our students learn easily, quickly and enjoyably.
Electronic books
The electronic form of the Student Book makes study at home more enjoyable and productive.
WI-FI Connection with specialized education sites on the internet
In this way, the lesson is enriched and students are actively involved by hearing and watching authentic material in the language they are being taught. Teachers do research and find websites which are useful and enhance the lesson. Students learn about the world through language.
